Thor’s Girlfriend!
I love Marvel’s Thor comics and have read quite a few. Sif is usually a fun character to read about, so when I heard about this one-shot I jumped at the chance to get it. It proved a fun read, even if the ending was unusually accelerated. Oh well, I enjoyed it and would recommend it to Thor fans, and people who appreciate beautiful warrior women.

The Reading Experience:
After Asgard was destroyed Sif has been living as a mortal in the town of Broxton, Oklahoma. This story begins with the lovely Sif taking a bath in a local run-down motel. When someone tries to enter her room, she imagines that Loki is after her again. (Apparently he recently tricked her and occupied her body – so who can blame her paranoia right?) Turns out the intruder isn’t Loki, or anyone evil for that matter, so Sif feels stupid and goes to a bar to help get her feelings back on the up and up. Well, after a bunch of guys try to hit on Sif, and she *hits* them, who should show up but Beta Ray Bill and his new girlfriend. They are looking for Thor to help rescue their space ship, The Scuttlebutt. Since Goldie-locks isn’t around Sif volunteers to do the job, but what she doesn’t realize is that it is occupied with infected, mild altering aliens! Whatever will she do? The same thing that Asgardians always do: kick butt and take names!

My Rating:

  • Story: 3 out of 5 stars
  • Art: 4 out of 5 stars
  • Fun Factor: 3 out of 5 stars
